NABL M-2841

Accredited under ISO 15189:2022 for medical testing — audited twice a year.

Same-evening reports

Routine panels drawn before 11 AM are released by 7 PM the same day.

Free home collection

No visit charge on orders above ₹800. Trained phlebotomists, single-use kits.

Every value explained

Reference ranges, trend lines and a pathologist's note — not just numbers.

Since 2009 · Guindy core lab

Sixteen years of
a very boring promise:
get it right, every time.

Diagnostics is not a place for surprises. NIDAN was started by a pathologist and a lab technologist who were tired of chasing reports that arrived late, contradicted each other, or arrived with no context at all. So we built the lab we wanted our own families to use.

0Samples processed

Across haematology, biochemistry, immunoassay, serology and clinical pathology.

0Phlebotomists

All certified, background-verified and audited on a monthly sample-quality score.

0Empanelled doctors

Consultants across Chennai who receive NIDAN reports directly on request.

0Repeat households

Families who booked their second test with us within eighteen months.

How a NIDAN result is made

Four hands touch
your sample. Every
one of them signs.

Most labs will tell you about their machines. We would rather tell you about the chain of custody — because that is where accuracy is actually won or lost.

01

Barcoded at the doorstep

Your vial is labelled and scanned in front of you before the phlebotomist leaves. That barcode is the only identity the lab ever sees.

02

Cold chain, logged every 15 minutes

Samples travel in temperature-monitored carriers. If a box drifts out of 2–8 °C, the run is rejected automatically — no human override.

03

Two analysers, one truth

Critical values are re-run on a second platform before release. Discordant results go to the bench pathologist, not to your phone.

04

Signed by a human

Every report carries the name and registration number of the pathologist who authorised it. If you have a question, you can ask that person.

Quality, in the open

We publish our turnaround
and our rejection rate.

In the last quarter, 99.4% of routine reports were released inside the promised window and 0.31% of samples were rejected at accessioning — mostly haemolysed or under-filled tubes. We would rather redraw than report a number we do not trust. If your sample is rejected, the redraw is free and we call you within the hour.

Which package, honestly

Essential, Active or Total —
side by side, no asterisks.

Most people under 35 with no family history genuinely need Essential. Active earns its price once you cross 35 or if diabetes runs in the family. Total is for a full annual baseline. When in doubt, ask us — we will tell you to buy less.

3 of 8 markers need attention. Vitamin D is low and two glycaemic markers sit just above range. Nothing here is an emergency — but please book a 10-minute call with one of our doctors before changing anything, including supplements.

Note from the reporting pathologist

Ananya, your counts, liver and kidney panels are entirely unremarkable and your thyroid is comfortably mid-range. The three things I would look at, in order of priority:

  • Vitamin D at 18 ng/mL is deficient and is the most likely explanation for the fatigue and calf cramps you mentioned to the phlebotomist. This is common in Chennai despite the sun — indoor working hours do it. It is easily corrected, but the dose should be prescribed, not guessed.
  • Fasting glucose 108 and HbA1c 5.9% together place you in the pre-diabetic band. This is a warning light, not a diagnosis, and at 34 it is very reversible. I would repeat both in 12 weeks after a diet and walking review.
  • LDL at 122 mg/dL is borderline. Given the HbA1c, I would keep it under 100. Diet first; we will not talk about medication until we have a second reading.

Please do not start any supplement based on this report alone. Book a consult — it is free for NIDAN patients within 14 days of the report date.

This is a demonstration report built for a design portfolio. Values, patient and doctor are fictional. Real NIDAN reports are released only to the registered patient or an authorised representative, and no laboratory value should be interpreted without a qualified doctor.

More wrong results come from bad preparation than from bad machines. Here is exactly what to do before the common panels — and what to do if you slip up (hint: tell us, do not hide it).

A NIDAN camp is a proper mobile setup — barcoded draw stations, a centrifuge on site, a nurse for BP and BMI, and a private booth for anyone who wants to ask a question quietly. HR gets an anonymised health-risk summary; employees get their own report on WhatsApp the same evening.

What Chennai says

Four hundred reviews.
The same three words.

On time. Explained. Gentle. We keep every review, including the ones that sting — you can ask any centre manager for the complaints register.

My mother is 78 and terrified of needles. The phlebotomist sat with her for ten minutes first, talked about her garden, and she barely noticed the draw. That is not something you can train into someone in a week.

I have had a thyroid panel done every year for eight years at four different labs. NIDAN is the first one where the report showed me last year's number next to this year's. Obvious idea. Nobody else does it.

They rejected my sample because it was haemolysed and told me so themselves. Redraw was free, and the coordinator called at 8 AM the next day. A lab that admits its own error is a lab I trust.

We ran a camp for 260 people at our OMR office. Setup at 7 AM, wrapped by 4 PM, and every single person had their report before dinner. HR got a risk summary without any individual names in it, which mattered to us.
